This article introduces the second release of the Gypsy Database of Mobile Genetic Elements (GyDB 2.0): a research project devoted to the evolutionary dynamics of viruses and transposable elements based on their phylogenetic classification (per lineage and protein domain). The Gypsy Database (GyDB) is a long-term project that is continuously progressing, and that owing to the high molecular diversity of mobile elements requires to be completed in several stages. Remote sensing provides spatially distributed cost-effective information for ET maps production at regional scale. Nous avons saisi l’opportunité d’une enquête archéologique portant sur une dizaine de sites désertés tous contemporains (XIVe-XVe siècle), débutée en 2003, d’abord en bois de Cestres, puis étendue à l’ensemble du Haut Val Suzon (Côte d’Or) , pour réaliser, concomitamment, une étude archéogéographique du bassin du Haut Val Suzon. Celle-ci a pour objet de contextualiser et mettre en perspective sur le temps long les nombreux habitats désertés qui s’y trouvent.
